Steve Krase Band – Just Waitin’ – Gets A Body Moving!!

Just Waitin’ – Steve Krase Band Over the last few years one of my favorite blues harmonica players has been Steve Krase. So the other day when I saw his latest release Just Waitin’  on Spotify I knew it would be going into my music rotation. The other morning I decided that it would be the soundtrack for my morning walk. “Settin’ the Woods on Fire” opened the album and started my walk off on the right foot. The only problem was the song sounded a lot more rockabilly than bluesy! Not that it was a problem because Krase handled…

<p style=”text-align: left;”>Ok so I don’t think there are may of you under the age of 40 who can identify this iconic mystery author…..</p> John D MacDonald Yes, it is the great John D MacDonald, author of the also great Travis McGee series. Peaceful Being by Richard Noll leads to Being a Peaceful Being

Over the last month Peaceful Being the debut album from Richard Noll has been he soundtrack for many of my morning yoga routines and meditations. Overall, it has become one of my favorite albums. And listening to it has led to some of the most relaxing and calming meditations I have ever had. About Richard Noll’s Music Richard Noll is one of the few recording artists who plays primarily recorder and he is amazing! On Peaceful Being he plays both tenor and alto recorders. Michael Koryta’s How It Happened is a Winner!

How It Happened – Michael Koryta LJ Roberts a friend on Goodreads always opens her reviews with the first sentence of the book being reviewed. I thought of her, when I started Michael Koryta’s latest book. First Sentence: I’d never seen him before the day we killed him. The Story That statement comes from the confession of. Kimberly Crepeaux to the double murder of Jackie Pelletier and Ian Kelly in the Maine town of Port Hope. Kimberly gave her confession to FBI special agent Rob Barrett. Barrett had been assigned the case because of his interview skills. Additionally, he has…

My Yoga and Walking Challenges Lead to a Month of Runs…

A few weeks after I started my 21-day Yoga Challenge I realize that wanted to add some more to my exercise regime. I thought back and remembered how I started to gain weight, when I stopped babysitting Oliver two plus years ago. While I was babysitting I would take him for two or three 30 minute walks during the day. Once those walks stopped on came the weight! Anyway I thought even though you won’t be pushing a stroller you can walk twice a day numb nuts! So I created the 30-day Oliver Walking Challenge. The aim of the…

The High Cost of Low Living a Great Soundtrack for a Slow Run!

The Run – (if you can call it that) Yesterday afternoon I looked at my Fitbit totals for the day and saw that I only had recorded 2,200 steps. Now I had proof that I had sat around all day!. So my thoughts maybe I’ll run became I have to run today if  want to get to 10,000 steps! As I prepared to run, I decided that the plan was to run. a minimum of two miles or a maximum of 30 minutes. My main focus during the run was not how fast I was running but keeping my heart…

Day 5- New Music – Experimental Rock Band – Road to Jerusalem

Road to Jerusalem – Road to Jerusalem Yesterday was  Day 5 of my New Musician Challenge and, while I did listen to some new music, I didn’t get a chance to write anything. The Road to Jerusalem was a little more hard rock than the bands that are usually in my music rotation. However, based on what I’ve heard from The Road to Jerusalem (RTJ) I may be checking out a few of those bands that are listed as Related Artists on their overview page!! The Band  Anyway, RTJ is an experimental rock band. The band is based in Copenhagen,…
