Five Proposed March Reads (for now)

Ok so I was already to announce my projected March reads on Tuesday and they looked like this….

The proposed reads included two books from my bookshelves Black Wind by Clive Cussler and Outwitting Trolls by William G Tapply. Cussler was included because his recent passing reminded me of how much I used to like his books and Tapply because I was reminded about his books after a post I wrote the other day.

Then  I received notice that one of the books I had requested from the library had become available. The book was The Big Lie the latest Jack Swaytek novel from  James Grippando. So I took four books back to the library and anticipated only bringing g one book back home. Right!

I ended up bringing four books backThen either last night or this morning I saw on Instagram how one of the Bookstagramers that I follow really liked I’m Traveling Alone by Samuel Bjork. Hmm, since I have that book checked out of the library maybe I should add that to my proposed March reads. So my proposed March reading list including Dark Truths, which I am currently reading, looks like this….

I have removed The Old Ball Game, along with the Clive Cussler and William G Tapply books.. The Old Ball Game doesn’t have to go back to the librarty for a while yet and I will read the other books sometime this year!

Proposed March Reads (for now)

The books I currently plan to read in March are:

Code Red a proposed March ReadCode Red: How Moderates and Progressives Can Unite to Save Our Country

E.J.Dionne

I usually start the year off reading either a political or history book. The reason is that typically reading those types of books is one of my Reading Challenges. But as the year progresses I read more and more mysteries and thrillers!

I usually like Dionne’s columns and the subject is certainly timely so I am looking forward to reading this one!

The Big Lis a proposed March readThe Big Lie by James Grippando

My reading of Jack Swaytek novels has been sporadic throughout the years. But I have read the last two novels in order  and I am enjoying the series. So again I am looking forwards to this one .

I’m Traveling Alone Samuel Bjork

I am a big fan of Nordic crime novels and this one seems like a good one! And it does t hurt that it is book one in the Holger Munch and Mia Kruger series.

InterferenceSue Burke

Interference is the sequel to Semiosis Sue Burke’s SF debut. Semiosis was an interesting reading experience. On the planet of Pax a tree is a sentient being and learns to communicate with the colonists and joins with them to fight ah aggressive enemy.

PInterference is set two hundred years after the first colonists have arrived on Pax. Sent on a “temporary” scientific mission new explorers arrive on Pax. And while the colonist try to protect themselves and their sentient allies from the Erath’s influence a new alien sentience has arrived bent in annihilation! Oh yeah!

Into the FireGregg Hurwitz

Into the Fire by Gregg Hurwitz is the fifth book in his Orphan X series featuring Evan Smoak. Evan was recruited when he was a young Orphan and raised to be a killer. He performed off the books deniable missions for the government.
But he broke with the program went off the grid and became The Nowhere Man helping people who have no where else to turn!

In this installment he appears to be heading „into the fire“ as he attempts to help  Max Meriweather whose life has been turned upside down a d has nowhere else to turn!
